ChocQuibTown is an Afro‐Colombian group, that fuses funk, hip hop, reggae, pop and elements of EDM. The band whose members are originally from the Choco, region of Colombia, recently celebrated 15 years and their album “El Mismo” (Sony Latin) will mark their 5th full-length release.

The first single and video “Cuando Te Veo” has been released in various versions, including an Urban version featuring Latin Urban powerhouse, Nicky Jam. The band has received a multitude of awards and nominations including a 2010 Latin Grammy and 8 Grammy and Latin Grammy nominations combined.

Their 2011 studio album “Eso Es Lo Que Hay” was certified Gold by the RIAA. The group consists of 3 family members: Carlos “Tostao” Valencia (rapping), his wife Gloria “Goyo” Martínez (singing and rapping), and Gloria’s brother, Miguel “Slow” Martínez (producGon and rapping).

In the summer 2014, ChocQuibTown performed at the Latin Alternative Music Conference and afterwards, Billboard Magazine named them one of 5 Artists to Watch. ChocQuibTown is the face of Johnnie Walker in their native Colombia. The band has been a featured artist in 2 major Latin projects: Duet with Ziggy Marley of “Iron Lion Zion” on Santana’s Corazón, and The Billboard #1 single “El Mar De Tus Ojos” with Carlos Vives.

Goyo was tapped to perform the Spanish version of the classic “Tomorrow” which ran as the end credit for Latin American release of the film Annie.
