Award-winning Cuban-American singer/songwriter, Fulano De Tal aka Elsten Torres, presents his new song, “Trumpeta.” The song is a direct and timely retort to the recent negative comments that many in the political forum have stated against Latin Americans and immigration reform. Fulano has been deeply effected by the continuous harmful statements and events that have been a focus of the 2015 Presidential election campaign.

Torres said of the song, “I was in the middle of promoting my 2015 biggest hits album release, ‘Exitos Acusticos,’ and I literally had to stop my promo tour to write “Trumpeta” because I couldn’t believe what was being said by Mr. Trump and other political leaders in the media about Latinos in America. Being an immigrant myself, I felt these derogatory statements were direct insults to my family. My mother sacrificed her life and fled Cuba with two little boys to come to America to find a better future for us. So as an artist and as an immigrant, I felt the need to defend my family and race.”

Una canción que en forma directa critica los recientes comentarios negativos hechos por varias figuras del mundo político en contra de los inmigrantes. Especialmente por las declaraciones denigrantes echan por candidatos presidenciales como Donald Trump sobre los latinos y su visión a la reforma migratoria.

“Yo estaba de promoción todo este verano con mi nuevo disco, “Éxitos Acústicos”, una compilación de mis éxitos mas grandes como cantautor y literalmente tuve que frenar la gira para proclamarme y escribir esta canción “Trumpeta”, porque como Cubano, Latino y ciudadano Americano no podía aceptar ni creer la cantidad de disparates pronunciados por el Sr. Trump y otras figuras políticas, en contra de nuestra gente y nuestra cultura Latina. Yo soy inmigrante, y la verdad que comentarios tan negativos sobre los latinos, los tomo muy personal. Mi madre sacrificó su vida y se fue de Cuba conmigo y mi hermano cuando éramos niños buscando un futuro mejor para nosotros. Así que yo como artista e inmigrante, siento la responsabilidad de defender a mi familia y mi raza”.

“Trumpeta” ya esta disponible en todas las tiendas digitales junto a su video animado en YouTube. Un 10% de las ventas de “Trumpeta” irán destinados al beneficio de organizaciones migratorias que luchan por los derechos de nuestra gente Latina.
