Today, salsa fans are rejoicing over the announcement of the new project of two salsa icons, the Pavarotti of Salsa Tito Nieves and the eighteen time GRAMMY and LATIN GRAMMY winner Sergio George, who collaborate once again this time on the new project, Tito y Sergio. The perfect combination, Tito Nieves and Sergio George, come together with the purpose of creating good music that will make people feel good. The two salsa giants are gearing up to release the catchy single “Viva la Música”, co-authored by Panamanian singer-songwriter Grettel Garibaldi and Sergio George, who also wrote the music and produced the new single.
Tito and Sergio traveled to Calí, Colombia to shoot the video for “Viva la Música” which was directed by renowned director, David Impeluso. “Viva la Música” spreads a positive message of celebrating music and life.
Sergio George pitched the idea of collaborating on “Viva la Música” over a phone call the artist made to his longtime producer. “The idea of working on “Viva la Música” came organically. Tito called me to talk about his next project, and that is how we came about collaborating on “Viva la Música.”- commented the renowned producer Sergio George.
This year marks the over four decades of Salsa Star’s Tito Nieves successful career whose countless hits in both English and Spanish are part of history. Each of the albums Sergio George has produced in the last 25 years has proven to be an invaluable contribution to popular music. It is impossible to speak of “salsa” without mentioning Tito Nieves and Sergio George. The coming together of the two salsa giants was the natural evolution of years of working together.
The new single and video for “Viva la Música” will be released at the end of the month of July. Tito and Sergio are gearing up for a hectic international promo tour.

Hoy, la salsa está de fiesta con el anuncio del junte de dos grandes del género el Pavarotti de la Salsa, Tito Nieves y el multi-premiado productor ganador de dieciocho GRAMMY y LATIN GRAMMY Sergio George, quienes vuelven a unirse en un nuevo proyecto titulado Tito y Sergio, “Una Historia Musical”. La combinación perfecta, Tito y Sergio, se unen con la intención de crear buena música que haga a la gente vibrar. Los dos grandes de la música se preparan para lanzar una salsa contagiosa titulada “Viva la Música.” Con coros pegajosos, el nuevo sencillo es de la co-autoría de la cantautora panameña Grettel Garibaldi y Sergio George, quien también estuvo a cargo de la música y la producción de “Viva la Música”.
Tito y Sergio viajaron a Calí, Colombia para grabar el video del nuevo sencillo bajo la dirección del reconocido director, David Impeluso. “Viva la Música” es un tema positivo, cuya letra y ritmos invitan a celebrar la vida y la música.
Sergio George quien ha sido el productor de Tito Nieves por muchos años le propuso al reconocido salsero colaborar en “Viva la Música” luego de una llamada que le hizo el artista al productor. “De manera natural nació la idea de colaborar en “Viva la Música”. Tito me llamó para hablar de su próxima producción, y de ahí nació la idea de hacer juntos este tema.” – expresó el reconocido productor Sergio George.
Este año marca sobre cuatro décadas de exitosa carrera de la Estrella de la Salsa Tito Nieves cuya aportación al género e incontables éxitos han sido parte de la historia. Cada uno de los discos producido por George es una contribución a la música popular tocando generaciones a través de la creación de nuevos estilos de música. Siempre a la vanguardia y liderando en la industria musical, hablar de Salsa sin mencionar el nombre de Tito Nieves y Sergio George es imposible. El junte de Tito y Sergio fue la evolución natural de años de colaboración entre dos gigantes de la salsa.
El sencillo y video será lanzado a finales del mes de julio. Tito y Sergio se preparan para una ardua gira internacional de promoción.
