Silvina Moreno is currently one of the most talented singer/songwriters from Argentina. Her music is a clear reflection of her personality, and a delicate journey around the everyday life of a woman, imprinted by freshness, sympathy and a spark of female power. For the first time, she will be part of the Latin Alternative Music Conference, presenting her brand new album “Sofá”.
She started her career as a young little girl, who already knew quite early on that she was meant to be a musician. When she turned twenty, she moved to the US to attend Berklee College of Music. While earning hours of expertise, she recorded what later became her first solo album “Mañana”. After five years of living in Boston and New York, she moved back to Buenos Aires, and released it as an indie record which got her a nomination for a Gardel Award, Argentina’s most prestigious music awards. With this album, she toured Latin America, USA, the UK, Netherlands and Germany. She also opened shows for Alicia Keys, Gilberto Gil, Dirty Projectors, Michael Bolton, among other artists. Late in 2015, she released her second album called “Real”. Silvina’s uprising career kept major labels very interested, until she finally signed a record deal with Sony Music and recorded her third album “Sofa”, produced by multi Grammy award-winning artist and producer Eduardo Cabra (Visitante Calle 13). This album includes twelve new songs, and was released in late May 2017.
“I’ve liked her music since the first moment the label showed me the project. I could see in Silvina a unique performer. I love to work with unique projects and this project is unique. That’s why I loved being involved with this album. Silvina is a very talented musician, and has a great capacity of composition and a good taste. She has all the ingredients are needed to be a great artist.” Eduardo said.
The first single is called “Frío en los Pies” (which translates to “Cold Feet”) and features recognized award winning Argentinean artist Kevin Johansen. The song’s music video had a great impact in Latin America. “Frío en Los Pies” features cumbia rhythms from Perú, which contribute to a cheerful, positive vibe that emerged from the amazing connection between both singers.

Una de las artistas revelación que ha dado Argentina en los últimos tiempos, llega por primera vez a NYC en el marco del reconocido LAMC para presentar su nueva producción “Sofá”, que ha sido lanzada recientemente en Argentina. Silvina Moreno es una cantante y compositora, nacida en Buenos Aires. Su música es un claro reflejo de su personalidad, un delicado viaje por el mundo de emociones de una mujer, matizadas con frescura, naturalidad y simpatía.
Desde muy pequeña sabia que quería ser una artista y a los 20 años se radicó en Estados Unidos, para estudiar en Berklee College of Music. Grabó su primer disco “Mañana” mientras vivía entre Nueva York y Boston y regresó a su pais natal para iniciar su carrera y presentar su disco. Realizó un centenar de shows en Latinoamérica, U.S, Reino Unido, Holanda y Alemania. Compartió escenario con Jorge Drexler y Bobby McFerrin en U.S y abrió los shows de Alicia Keys, Gilberto Gil, Michael Bolton, Axel en Argentina. En el 2015 Silvina presentó su segundo disco independiente titulado “Real” y recibió una nominación para los Premios Gardel, los premios a la música mas importantes de Argentina.
Todo este camino, hizo que una de las mayores discográficas latinas pusiera sus ojos en ella. En el 2017, Silvina lanzó su tercer disco, “Sofá” de la mano de Sony Music y con la producción de Eduardo Cabra ( Visitante- Calle 13). El disco cuenta con 12 canciones que nos llevan por el universo de Silvina, un universo luminoso, sensible, fino y sobre todo fresco.
– “Me gustó su música desde el primer momento que Sony me mostró el proyecto. Encontré en ella un estilo único. Lo que mas me entusiasma es trabajar en proyectos únicos, y el de Silvina, lo es. Por eso estuvo chévere estar involucrado en este proyecto. Silvina es una música talentosísima, tiene una gran capacidad de composición y además buen gusto. Ella tiene todos los ingredientes que se necesitan para llegar lejos” – Eduardo Cabra.
El primer corte que se desprende de ésta producción es “Frío En Los Pies” , una canción con ritmos de Perú, con la participación especial de Kevin Johansen ( uno de los principales referentes de la música de compositor argentina) como artista invitado. El video nos muestra la frescura y la excelente conexión que hubo entre los dos artistas al momento de trabajar juntos.
