More than an idealistic principle, UBUNTU is a philosophy of life that was born in Africa and concentrates its essence on the loyalty of people and the relationships between them.
The union, loyalty, respect, reconciliation and the solidarity are some of the concepts that determine this lifestyle, style, if it is possible to call it in this way that has come along the members of Piso 21 from their beginning as a band.
Perhaps without noticing about the term or word in their story, Dim, Llane, Pablito and El Profe have lived all their career and development as artists, aligned to UBUNTU…immersed in the magic and nature that leads to a concept so infinite and clean like it is the understanding that the humility, empathy and what makes us human endures and remains in a solid way in the universe if you behave understanding that your own welfare Is better, if you are allowed to do good to others all around.
Four talents, four Friends, four voices, four personalities, like the four elements in the universe, give the best of them to give strength to that everything they are part of, that is how UBUNTU is born, an album which the Colombian band has worked hard during the last months and it is already done to offer it to its millions of fans.
On May 11th, determines the launch of UBUNTU, the first album of PISO 21 hand in hand with WARNER MUSIC, a work of 13 songs which we have the best references with singles like Déjala Que Vuelva, Besándote and Me llamas, as a preamble that has established the band as representative and reference inside the Urban Pop genre in Latin America and continues being unstoppable, conquering tidily the whole world.
The members of PISO 21 were surrounded by the best producers to achieve the big dream of this new album, Julio Reyes Copello (Alejandro Sanz, Pablo Alborán), Andrés Torres (Luis Fonsi – “Despacito”), Mauricio Rengifo (Demi Lovato, OneRepublic), Juan Pablo Vega (Manuel Medrano), Rafael Arcaute (Calle 13, Diego Torres), OvyOnTheDrums (Karol G, BadBunny), Mosty (JBalvin, Juanes), Sky (Farruko, Maluma), Wain (Icon Music), Tainy (Wisin y Yandel, Jennifer López) y Ben Billions (Beyonce, TheWeeknd) put their stamp in every of the cuts of UBUNTU that was recorded and mixed in Colombia and EE.UU, and it counts with the collaboration of one the voice of the Argentinean phenomenon Paulo Londra, one of the most important artists of Spain – Maikel de la Calle, Zion & Lennox, Manuel Turizo, Xantos and our dear Fonseca.
Parallel to the UBUNTU launch, the band presents its new single “La Vida Sin Ti”. This song starts and gives life to the album, it is a song recorded in Los Angeles with Cali and el Dandee; produced by Dande (Mauricio Rengifo) and Andrés Torres. This song introduces a romantic tone, but when it reaches the chorus there is an explosion and it seeks to become a world anthem; it has a melancholy tone, but that does not stop it from having strength and power when listening to it.
The video was made in Guatemala, in several places full of magic, spirituality and respect for the environment; this is the first time that a group of people could get in to this enigmatic spaces to shoot a video, in fact for the recording of the same admission of the production staff, it was necessary to make a ceremony asking for being allowed to the nature, local gods and the Cultural Tikal (Maya) energies to be in communion with everything and give life to the one of the most spectacular videos you could ever see; besides the band wanted also wanted to evoke the 4 elements (water, air, fire and sand), not noticing that each one is one and nothing else, despite being individuals and functioning as a different world, they will always arrive to a meeting point that is music.

Más que un principio idealista, Ubuntu es una filosofía de vida que nace en África y que concentra su esencia en la lealtad de las personas y las relaciones entre estas.
La unión, la lealtad, el respeto, la reconciliación y la solidaridad, son algunos de los conceptos que determinan este estilo de vida; estilo, por si así puede llamarse, que ha acompañado a los integrantes de Piso 21 desde sus inicios como agrupación.
Sin quizás darse cuenta directa del término o la palabra en su historia; Dim, Llane, Pablito y El Profe han vivido todo lo que va de su carrera y su desarrollo como artistas, alineados a Ubuntu… Inmersos en la magia y naturaleza que lleva un concepto tan infinito y limpio como es el entender que la humildad, la empatía y lo que nos hace humanos persiste y permanece de una forma más sólida en el universo si se actúa entendiendo que su bien personal es mejor, si puede hacer bien a otros a su alrededor.
Cuatro talentos, cuatro amigos, cuatro voces, cuatro personalidades qué, como los cuatro elementos en el universo, dan lo mejor de ellos mismos para imprimirle fuerza a ese todo del que hacen parte, así nace Ubuntu, un álbum en el que la agrupación colombiana ha trabajado de lleno los últimos meses y ya está listo para ofrecerlo a sus millones de seguidores.
El 11 de mayo, determina el lanzamiento de Ubuntu, el primer álbum de PISO 21 de la mano de Warner Music, un trabajo de 13 canciones de las cuales tenemos las mejores referencias con sencillos como Déjala que vuelva, Besándote y Me llamas, un preámbulo que ha consolidado al agrupación como una abanderada y punto de referencia dentro del género del Urban Pop en toda Latinoamérica y continúa imparable, conquistando con paso firme el mundo entero.

Paralelo al lanzamiento de Ubuntu, la banda presenta su nuevo single “La Vida Sin Ti”. El sencillo que le da vida e inicio a este disco; es una canción grabada en Los Ángeles junto a Cali y el Dandee; producida por Dandee (Mauricio Rengifo) y Andrés Torres. Esta canción le apuesta a tener un tono romántico, pero al llegar al coro revienta y busca convertirse en un himno mundial; tiene un tono melancólico, pero no por eso deja de tener fuerza y poder al escucharla.
El video, fue hecho en Guatemala, en varios lugares llenos de magia, espiritualidad y respeto por el entorno; es la primera vez que un grupo de personas pudo entrar a estosenigmáticos espacios a rodar un video, de hecho para la grabación del mismo e ingreso del personal de producción fue necesario hacer una ceremonia pidiendo permiso a la naturaleza, dioses locales y energías propias de la cultura Tikal (Maya) para estar en comunión con todo y darle vida a uno de los videos más espectaculares que podrán ver; la banda además, quiso evocar los 4 elementos (Agua, aire, fuego y tierra), no determinando puntualmente que cada uno es eso y nada más, sino demostrar que, pese a ser individuos y funciona como un mundo diferente, siempre van a llegar a un punto de encuentro que es la música.
La producción y ejecución del video oficial de “La Vida Sin Ti” estuvo a cargo de 36 Grados (“Mi Gente”, “Machika”, “Hasta el Amanecer”, “Buscando Huellas”, “Bonita”, entre otros) productora colombiana reconocida por haber hecho también el video de “Déjala que Vuelva” mega hit de la agrupación paisa.
“La Vida Sin Ti”, es Ubuntu en su esencia más puntual, tanto en lo visual como en lo musical; una canción de “Despecho a Pulmón herido”.
