Panteón Rococó is returning to North America to keep breaking down barriers and paving the way for consolidating cultures. The “No Wall” U.S. tour of 14 shows will be one of the group’s longest tours in the country. It will begin on September 8 in Chicago, Illinois, and end on November 25 in Anaheim, California. Over these last 22 years of music and resistance, Panteón Rococó has proven why it is one of the most acclaimed bands of Mexico and all of Latin America.
On December 3, 2016, the ska-fusion band performed for their most loyal fans at a sold out show at Palacio de los Deportes, in Mexico City. What stood out about said performance was the random nature of their show; during the days prior to the show people had the chance to vote on the band’s songs, thus creating the set list for that memorable gathering with the audience who have placed them at the top of their career.
As a corollary of their twentieth anniversary celebration they presented the DVD “Panteón Rococó: XX Años” in June of this year, a filmed creation of the concert they held in July 2015 at the Arena Ciudad de México, which happened simultaneously in Monterrey, Guadalajara and Mexico City.
In 2017, so far Panteón Rococó has participated at different festivals and has returned to places they had not been to for many years. An example of this has been their successful “No Wall Tour” that took place in Germany, with over ten shows in cities like Hamburg, Nyon, Berlin, Munich, etc. The band also had a stellar presence at Rock al Parque 2017 in Colombia (a festival that has been taking place since 1994) and at the Paleo festival in Switzerland.
It should be mentioned that each member of the group has participated in different projects within the music industry, from collaborations and alternative projects to producing other artists albums.
The “Ejército de Paz” offered a last performance in Mexico City this September 2nd and few days later they headlined the second edition of “Pepsi Ska Fest” in their country.
Other news for this year which we have to point out is their return to the recording studio to keep strenghtening their discography, since their last studio album release has been “Ni carne ni pescado” (2012), and their singles Viernes de webeo and Nunca fue, released in 2014. Although there isn’t a name nor an official release date yet, production is going smoothly, guided by two great creative minds in the industry: Chix Amaro and Álvaro Villagra. The wait will soon be over, with a promise of lots and lots of more crazy ska.

Panteón Rococó se alista para iniciar su gira por Estados Unidos con 16 fechas confirmadas este viernes 8 de septiembre en Chicago, Illinois. La gira terminará el 25 de Noviembre en Anaheim, California después de haber tocado por primera vez en nuevos territorios. A lo largo de estos 21 años de música y resistencia, el grupo ha demostrado la razón de ser una de las bandas más aclamadas de México y de toda América Latina. En esta ocasión vuelven a tierras Norte Americanas para seguir rompiendo barreras y abriendo paso a la unión de culturas.
El 3 de diciembre de 2016, la banda de ska por excelencia concedió una fecha dedicada a sus más fieles seguidores en un show totalmente vendido en el Palacio de los Deportes con capacidad de más de 20 mil personas, en la Ciudad de México. El detalle que marcó la noche fue el concepto random de su show; durante los días previos al show el público tuvo la oportunidad de votar entre todos los temas de la banda, el setlist que formaría parte de aquel memorable encuentro con el público que los ha colocado en la cúspide de su carrera.
Como corolario de los festejos por su veinte aniversario, presentaron en junio de este año el DVD “Panteón Rococó: XX Años”, fruto fílmico del concierto que ofrecieron en julio de 2015 en la Arena Ciudad de México y lo hizo de manera simultánea en Monterrey, Guadalajara y en esta capital.
En lo que va del 2017, Panteón Rococó ha formado parte de diversos festivales y ha regresado a lugares que hace años no frecuentaba. Ejemplo de ello ha sido su exitoso “No Wall Tour” que tuvo lugar en Alemania, con más de diez fechas en ciudades como Hamburgo, Nyon, Berlín, Múnich, entre otras. Además de su presencia estelar en el Rock al Parque 2017 en Colombia (festival que se realiza desde 1994), y el festival Paleo en Suiza.
Cabe destacar que cada integrante de la banda ha realizado diversos trabajos dentro de la industria musical, desde colaboraciones, proyectos alternos y producción.
El Ejército de paz ofreció una última presentación en la Ciudad de México, el pasado 2 de septiembre y Seránfueron los protagonistas del “Pepsi Ska Fest”, en la segunda entrega de este festival.
Otra de las novedades que nos traen para este año y que no podemos pasar por alto es su regreso al estudio de grabación para seguir robusteciendo su discografía, pues su último álbum de estudio fue “Ni carne ni pescado” (2012), y de sus sencillos Viernes de webeo y Nunca fue, lanzados en 2014. Aunque aún no hay nombre ni fecha oficial de lanzamiento, la producción marcha sobre ruedas de la mano de dos grandes mentes creativas de la industria: Chix Amaro y Álvaro Villagra. Pronto la espera llegará a su fin, con la promesa de mucho, mucho más endemoniado ska.
