Los Angeles, CA (November 21, 2024) – – Shortly after releasing her debut EP, Chicana artist Mila la Morena introduces “CRUSH,” a catchy single that explores the theme of platonic love influenced by sexual attraction and the concept of love at first sight. This engaging track is sure to get you on the dance floor. “CRUSH” is the first of many musical ideas that Mila has collected and recorded during her time in Mexico. Fans can look forward to more music from her, as she is currently collaborating with MONVCO and Kalifrn from Finesse Records on her upcoming material.

“CRUSH” is Mila's catchiest song, becoming a definitive banger. This time, the magic of renowned artist and producer BrunoOG stands out in the production. The rhythm mixes reggaeton, carioca funk, and afrobeat, exuding sensuality inspired by the great pop hits of women like Karol G and Rosalía.

Mila la Morena has been known for its queer representation, telling stories of heartbreak and the meaning of being Latina in the United States.

This year, he has once again surprised his listeners with the diversity of his musical universe through songs with electronic pop/reggaeton touches that talk about the different stages of having a broken heart, such as “Mejor Así” and “Lloro Después del Sexo”, or “NO KIERO KERER”, which has an indie rock/shoegaze style that transports you directly to the early 2000s.

More about Mila la Morena

Based in Chicago, but with Mexican roots, Mila La Morena is an emerging project that fuses sound ranging from R&B and reggaeton to pop and electronica. Within her career, we can highlight the synchronizations she has done for series and movies, such as “Amarres,” a song that was part of the series produced by HBO for Latin America of the same name.

Although this project is emerging, she has long been an active figure within the Chicago indie circuit, both as a singer and songwriter and as a cultural manager in producing independent and DIY shows.

In addition to performing as a headlining artist at Chicago events such as Villapalooza and The Fly Honeys, which have led him to make his first tracks on the scene. Mila has participated in Chicago festivals such as Ruidofest, TOMORROW NEVER KNOWS and Villapalooza. She has also played shows at important venues such as Navy Pier and, this year, 2024, during her stay in Mexico City, she performed her music at some of the most popular parties and clubs, such as Algo Bien, Pegados, and Cincodoce.

Los Ángeles, CA (21 de noviembre, 2024) – A poco tiempo de lanzar su EP debut, el amor platónico basado en la atracción sexual y la apariencia a primera vista, llega en forma de canción para flechar tus oídos y hacerte bailar en la pista. La artista chicana, Mila la Morena, nos presenta “CRUSH” el primer sencillo de muchas de las ideas musicales que acumuló y grabó durante su estancia en México y que posiblemente verán la luz en su próximo material, que estuvo trabajando en conjunto con MONVCO y Kalifrn (Finesse Records).

“CRUSH” es la canción más pegajosa que Mila ha hecho hasta el momento, convirtiéndose en un banger definitivo, en donde en esta ocasión, destaca la magia del reconocido artista y productor BrunoOG en la producción. El ritmo es una mezcla de reggaetón con funk carioca y afrobeats que derrochan sensualidad inspirada en grandes hits de pop, hechos por mujeres como Karol G y Rosalía.

Mila la Morena se ha caracterizado por la representación queer, contar historias de desamor, y el significado de ser latina en los Estados Unidos.

Este año, ha vuelto a sorprender a sus oyentes con la diversidad de su universo musical, a través de canciones con tintes de pop/reggaetón electrónicos que hablan de las diferentes etapas al tener el corazón roto, tales como “Mejor Así” y “Lloro Después del Sexo”, o “NO KIERO KERER” , la cual tiene un estilo indie rock/shoegaze que al escucharlo te transporta directamente a principios de los 2000.
