Los Angeles, CA (17 de abril, 2019) – Con más de 25 años de trayectoria, uno de los pioneros de la nueva ola de ska mexicano, Los Estrambóticos, regresan a Estados Unidos para presentarse en California, Arizona y Texas. La destacada banda comenzará sus 7 fechas de gira en Tijuana BC el 26 de abril y concluirá en Houston, TX el 4 de mayo.
Los Estrambóticos se formaron en 1992 y tienen una extensa experiencia en los escenarios y festivales más importantes de su país, incluyendo haber sido invitados 6 veces a tocar en el enorme Vive Latino en la Ciudad de México. Son conocidos por sus presentaciones de alta energía y sus destrezas tanto en la composición como en la letra, infundidas con su ska-rock con ciertos matices de pop y balada.
A lo largo de todos estos años, la música de “Los Estrambos”, como también suelen llamarle sus fans, se ha destacado también con su colaboración en varios discos tributo, con canciones que han sido tema principal o parte de la banda sonora de un par de películas.El grupo está formado por Arturo “Pino” Ruelas (voz), David “Chadou” Sánchez (guitarra), Gabriel Bronfman (bajo), Adrián Vallarta (batería), César “Chi Ch” Rojas (teclado), Pablo Coello (saxo) y Helios Escalona (trombón). Tienen 8 discos grabados, incluyendo su último álbum “Lucha y Resiste – Vol. 1”, que incluye material original, así como covers y revisiones de sus grandes éxitos como “La Herida”, “Camino a Ninguna Parte” y “Oir tu Voz”.
Recientemente lanzaron los sencillos “La Fuerza del Latino” y “30 Monedas” que dan a los fans una idea de lo que viene en su noveno álbum, Basado en Hechos Reales, que será lanzado en su propio sello Resiste Records.

The outstanding band will commence their 7 tour dates in Tijuana BC on April 26 and conclude in Houston, TX on May 4th.
Los Estramboticos was formed in 1992 and have an extensive experience in the most important stages and festivals in their country, including being invited 6 times to play the massive Vive Latino in Mexico City. They are known for their high energetic shows and their skills in both composition and lyrics, infused with their ska-rock mixed with pop and ballad tones. Throughout all these years, Los Estrambos’, as they are usually called by their fans, music has been featured and collaborated with in various tribute albums as well as been chosen as theme songs or as part of soundtracks for a various films.
The group is formed by Arturo “Pino” Ruelas (Vocals), David “Chadou” Sánchez (Guitar), Gabriel Bronfman (Bass), Adrián Vallarta (Drums), César “Chi Ch” Rojas (Keyboard), Pablo Coello (Sax) and Helios Escalona(Trombone). They have 8 recorded albums under their belt, including their latest album “Lucha y Resiste – Vol. 1“, which featured original material as well as covers and revisits of their greatest and timeless hits such as “La Herida“, “Camino a Ninguna Parte” and “Oir tu Voz“.

The love for music, and the desire to be an informer brought us to the world of entertainment. We have gradually built on a mission that has been goal in life: bringing Latin music to US masses. In 1999 our editor, Kike Posada, was selected “an influential personality in the realm of music for the 21st century” by The Miami Herald. He also received the ASCAP Ampt award for his support to Latin music and the prestigious Orquidea Award as a Colombian talent. He has an extensive professional experience as a journalist, radio programmer, music critic, member of NARAS and LARAS (Grammy). BOOM created the first radio program specialized in Latin alternative music in the United States, (see Billboard magazine 11/14/93.)
Posada beginnings as a journalist took place in Bogota, at the Xavier University. There, he became the official voice of the station. Then became a record label executive. Managed the international market for Universal Music (formerly Polygram) Moving to the US in 1992, joined EMI-Capitol Records as South East Coast Promoter. But his dream of publishing a magazine, came true in 1996 (BOOM), and hasn’t stopped publishing ever since.
