After releasing two successful singles from their latest album Nada Vale Más Que Tú, Kinky surprises us with a video for their third single, “Acento en la U”, a duet with Mariel Mariel. The video premiered earlier this week on MTV.
The streets of India were the mystical stage used to record this video which was produced by Marcela Recio for Artcore Films and directed by Rika Dávila.
For over 12 days Kinky toured the country visiting places like Udaipur, New Delhi and Taj Mahal using these as locations for this clip.
“The Prince of Rajasthan opened the doors of his palace in which we were able to film privately in some of the rooms filled with thousands of years of history,” adds Gil Cerezo, lead singer of the band.
The video portrays aspects of the luxurious part of India, the old Delhi market, the city and its atmosphere including the trucks that cross the streets since it was them who gave the band and its film crew a ride to the small communities living in the desert.
Nada Vale Más que Tú, is undoubtedly one of the most important records in the career of this iconic Regiomontana band which currently holds sold-out dates as part of their extensive Mexico and U.S Tour.

Después de estrenar dos exitosos sencillos como parte de Nada Vale Más Que Tú, su más reciente producción discográfica, Kinky nos vuelve a sorprender con el video de su tercer sencillo, “Acento en la U”, a dueto con Mariel Mariel, el cual tuvo un pre estreno en MTV el 4 de octubre.
Las calles de la India fueron el místico escenario utilizado para grabar este videoclip que fue producido por Marcela Recio para Artcore Films y dirigido por Rika Dávila.
A lo largo de 12 días el equipo viajó por el país y eligió sitios como Udaipur, Nueva Delhi y el Taj Mahal como locaciones para este clip.
“El Principe de Rajasthan nos abrió las puertas de su palacio en el que pudimos filmar de manera privada por algunas de sus salas con miles de años de historia”, comparte Gil Cerezo, vocalista de la banda.
En el video se puede ver desde la parte lujosa de la India, el mercado viejo de Nueva Delhi y hasta el ambiente en los camiones que cruzan las calles, pues fueron ellos quienes dieron un “aventón” a la producción para que se adentraran en las pequeñas comunidades que viven en el desierto.
Nada Vale Más Que Tú es, sin duda, uno de los discos más importantes en la carrera de esta icónica banda regiomontana que ya cuenta con varias fechas Sold Out en su extensa gira por México y Estados Unidos.
