(May 9, 2010) – Re-energized, focused and ready for it all, “la caballota” and queen of the Latin urban genre returns. Ivy Queen is back and is ready to unleash her new album alongside her new record label, Machete Music.
“Drama Queen” is the new musical offering from the International superstar and will be available this summer. The first oficial single “La Vida Es Asi” was just released to radio stations throughout the US and Puerto Rico and is becoming an instant hit. The song, griten by Ivy herself, is filled with the same passion and dedication that she has become a staple of her work and has confirmed her position as a superstar in a genre usually dominated by male artists. Her new single will be available for digital download, tomorrow, May 11.
“I’m happy to release my new single. You all know me and know that I give my all toa ll of my songs and this one isn’t an exception. I am also very proud of joining the Machete Music family. You should all expect an album full of songs that demonstrate who I am… a passionate and dedicated woman”, commented the star, who in her career has made songs such as “Te he querido, te he llorado” and “Dime” into urban music anthems.
The winner of Latin Billboard Awards in the category of “Song Of The Year, Female” and “Tropical Song of the Year, female” in 2009 has special appearances by Franco El Gorila, Jadiel, De La Ghetto, Franks Reyes and Latin music superstars Wisin & Yandel as guest features on “Drama Queen”.

El primer sencillo promocional “La Vida Es Así” ya se escucha en las emisoras de radio de Estados Unidos y Puerto Rico. El tema compuesto por la propia Ivy, tiene la misma pasión y entrega que la ha caracterizado y por la que ha logrado posicionarse en un género dominado por hombres. “La vida es así” estará a la venta en todas las tiendas digitales a partir de mañana, 11 de mayo.
