The legendary Venezuelan singer, songwriter and producer Franco De Vita writes a new chapter in the Latin American songbook with “Dónde Está La Vida” (Where Is the Life?), the first single from his forthcoming studio album Libre (Free).

“Dónde Está La Vida” grabs hold of us from the start with its classic-rock beat, along with its bluesy guitar and horn section. Franco De Vita gives one of the most wrenching vocal performances of his career, portraying the angst of a broken relationship. “Where is the life that we promised each other, where did we forget it, where did we get lost?”

This song will be released Friday, August 12, on all digital-music outlets and its official video premieres on Univision’s “Primer Impacto” show (5pm/4c). Following its TV premiere, the video will be available on his VEVO channel and digital platforms.

Franco de Vita is known as one of the most influential greats of the past 30 years, recording dozens of classics (“Un Buen Perdedor,” “¿Tú De Qué Vas?”) and songwriting hits for other performers (“Y Tú Te Vas” by Chayanne, “Vuelve” by Ricky Martin). This two-time Latin Grammy winner once again enriches the Latino cultural panorama with his new material.

El consagrado cantante, compositor y productor venezolano Franco De Vita escribe un nuevo capítulo en la historia del cancionero latinoamericano con “Dónde Está La Vida” el primer sencillo de su próximo álbum de estudio, Libre.

“Dónde Está La Vida” nos llama la atención desde los primeros acordes, con sus fusiones de rock clásico con la fuerte presencia de guitarra eléctrica y metales. Franco De Vita da una de las mejores interpretaciones de su larga trayectoria, retratando toda la angustia de una relación rota. “¿Dónde está la vida que nos prometimos, dónde la olvidamos, dónde nos perdimos?”

Esta canción estará disponible a partir del viernes 12 de agosto en todas las tiendas de música digital y el video oficial se estrenará en exclusiva a través del programa Primer Impacto (5pm/4c) de la cadena Univisión ese mismo día, al igual que en su canal de VEVO y otras plataformas digitales.
