This summer, the Latin Alternative Music Conference (LAMC) is celebrating its Sweet Sixteen, showcasing the best in Latin music from across the globe over five days (July 7-11) in New York City. Public radio station KCRW returns as the official radio sponsor and will feature special programming in Los Angeles while the event is underway.

KCRW DJ Raul Campos serves as the official LAMC host for the 8th year and will broadcast highlights from the festival on his show July 10 and 11 – with the last hour (5pm to 6pm) dedicated to LAMC and his Latin music discoveries.

Campos will also MC major LAMC events including Celebrate Brooklyn at Prospect Park, as well as the LAMC Central Park SummerStage free concerts.

“This year’s conference is, once again, bringing the best in latin alternative music.  I am particularly looking forward to seeing live sets from Compass (MIS & Toy Selectah), Astro, Mr. Pauer, Ceci Bastida, Ximena Sarinana and No Te Va Gustar. It’s going to be a great five days of music.”

“Add the vitality and energy of New York City, to the beauty of outdoor venues like Central Park and Prospect Park, as well as the caliber of artistry from this year’s LAMC line-up and you simply can’t go wrong.” said Campos.
