Hialeah Park Racing & Casino, South Florida’s premier destination for the best gaming and entertainment, will present a free concert by the Cuban dance band Sonlokos Saturday April 9 on the Fountain Terrace.
Sonlokos was formed in Miami four years ago by timbalero (percussionist) Raymer Oldalde. The band also includes percussionist Philbert Armenteros, bassist Erward Magdariaga, Janier Lopez, Osvaldo Fleites, and vocalist Joaquin “The Kid” Diaz.
The group has developed a solid reputation and a loyal following in South Florida because of its dedication to preserving the music history of Cuba while revitalizing it with a modern touch.
Sonlokos is scheduled to take the stage of the Fountain Terrace at 9:00 PM on Saturday, one hour after Hialeah Park’s favorite entertainer DJ El Russo opens the evening’s festivities with music and banter starting at 8 PM.
Concert goers will be able to enjoy specialty foods at the concert and the Fountain Terrace Bar will be open to provide a variety of beverage choices.
Hialeah Park Racing & Casino, with entrances at 100 East 32nd Street and 2200 East 4th Avenue, is easily accessible from all major Miami highways. The landmark venue is conveniently located just minutes by car from Miami International Airport, South Beach, Downtown Miami, Coral Gables, and Doral.
