Dante Spinetta presents his first solo album Puñal entirely written and produced by him, except for the track “Laberinto” which he co-produced with Rafa Arcaute.

Committed to making this album sound exactly the way he had imagined it, Dante, who is also a longtime member of Illya Kuryaki and the Valderramas, played nearly all of the rock-band instruments on Puñal. The epic orchestral feel is courtesy of the City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra, with arrangements by the veteran Argentine keyboardist and composer Leo Sujatovich.

The first single “Mi Vida” kicks off this project. Its themes of romantic loss and paranoia set the tone for the concept of Puñal. The music video, directed by Hernán Corera, portrays a dreamlike obsession that encompasses different dimensions and spaces in time, along with a darkness that persists through various lives and ends up being reflected in the two-sided mirror of every human being.

Destiny is written. There are stories that echo across the centuries and it’s just a matter of time before one arrives at his chosen place.

Puñal, es el primer álbum en solitario de Dante Spinetta. Este álbum fue producido y compuesto por el excepto la canción “Laberinto” en donde compartió producción con Rafa Arcaute.

Esta producción fue ideada casi en su totalidad por Dante con la necesidad de transmitir esa intimidad y punto de vista sónico. Lo épico del álbum toma vuelo de la mano de la Filarmónica de Praga, con arreglos del argentino Leo Sujatovich.

“Mi Vida” es la canción elegida para dar puntapié inicial a este nuevo proyecto, imprime la sensación de paranoia y desamor acompañando la canción y el concepto del álbum. El video, dirigido por Hernán Corera, retrata un paisaje onírico de una obsesión que abarca diferentes dimensiones y espacios temporales.

Una oscuridad que se cierne durante diferentes vidas y termina por reflejarse en el espejo dual de todo ser humano. El destino está escrito, hay historias que se repiten a través de los siglos y es solo cuestión de tiempo que uno llegue a su lugar elegido.
