With a seductive game of cat and mouse and overarching cultural themes, Carla Morrison’s tantalizing black-and-white music video for her new hit single, “Azúcar Morena” keeps rapidly growing in popularity on YouTube. The video, which celebrates beautiful brown skin, has been so well received by fans that in less than a week since its release it garnered more than 200,000 views.
“Azúcar Morena” is the latest hit single to come out of Morrison’s new album, “Amor Supremo.” The video, which follows the Mexican singer as she sets her eyes on a handsome and charming man with piel morena, was directed and produced by the ‘Broducers’ agency, the same folks behind her music video “Vez Primera.”
“For me it’s important to celebrate darker skinned people in our country. I wrote this song for my boyfriend, a beautiful dark-skinned man who joins me on this journey,” said Morrison in a heartfelt message shared with her over 700,000 followers on Twitter. “But I’ve noticed that in commercials, promos, etc., we often see people with light skin and blue eyes who are very handsome, but that’s not who we really are. Dark skin characterizes us. It’s beautiful and we should celebrate it.”
“Azúcar Morena” has transcended borders and helped Morrison conquer respected musical festivals like Coachella, Pal Norte and Vive Latino. The Mexican singer will be kicking off her world tour “Amor Supremo” in September, which will take her across key cities in the U.S., Europe and South American.

Con un seductor juego de miradas y un giro inesperado el nuevo videoclip de Carla Morrison, “Azúcar Morena”, sigue aumentando su popularidad en YouTube, el cual a menos de una semana de su lanzamiento ya superó las 200,000 reproducciones.
“Azúcar Morena” es el nuevo sencillo que continúa con el éxito de “Amor Supremo” la más reciente producción discográfica de Carla Morrison. El video que recorre una pícara historia en la que la mexicana pone sus ojos en un hombre de piel morena estuvo bajo la dirección y producción de la agencia ‘Broducers’ quienes también estuvieron a cargo de “Vez Primera”.
A través de su cuenta en Twitter, Morrison compartió con sus 707 mil seguidores una imagen en la que explica el propósito detrás de ‘Azúcar Morena’: “Para mí es súper importante celebrar la piel morena de nuestro país (…) La piel morena nos representa y es hermosa”. En el Tweet la mexicana también aclaró que su novio fue la fuente de inspiración detrás de la letra de este éxito.
“Azúcar Morena” es uno de los temas con los que Carla Morrison ha conquistado los escenarios de importantes festivales de música como Coachella, Pal Norte y Vive Latino. La mexicana ahora se prepara para el tour “Amor Supremo” que visitará Estados Unidos, Europa y Sudamérica.
