El embajador global de la Música Mexicana se llevó las Gaviotas de Oro y Plata en su debut en el prestigioso festival latinoamericano

Miami, Fl. febrero 27, 2024. — La estrella multiplatino Carín León conquistó anoche el mítico escenario de la Quinta Vergara, demostrando por qué es considerado el nuevo embajador global de la Música Mexicana ante el mundo.

En su debut en el 64° Festival Internacional de la Canción de Viña del Mar, el mexicano hizo rugir al “Monstruo” de la Quinta Vergara, llevándose las codiciadas Gaviotas de Oro y Plata.

Con un show de una hora de duración y un impresionante despliegue vocal y musical, el originario de Hermosillo, Sonora, presentó un extenso repertorio que recorrió sus grandes éxitos y sorprendió al público chileno con una versión en Techno Banda del éxito de Zalo Reyes, “Ramito de Violeta”, rindiendo así un tributo a la rica tradición musical del país anfitrión.

El cantante mexicano llegó a Viña del Mar en medio de un momento cumbre en su carrera, tras conquistar su primer GRAMMY® en febrero de 2025 en la categoría Mejor Álbum de Música Mexicana (Incluyendo Tejano) por su aclamada producción Boca Chueca, Vol. 1, que también le valió el Latin GRAMMY® al Mejor Álbum de Música Mexicana Contemporánea en noviembre de 2024.

Ante el fervor del público chileno, León interpretó varios de sus éxitos más conocidos, incluyendo “Primera Cita”, “Te lo Agradezco”, “Como lo Hice Yo”, “Cuando la Vida Sea Trago” y “Despídase Bien”, entre otras, provocando el furor del anfiteatro, quien coreó al unísono cada una de sus canciones.

Previo al show, en conferencia de prensa con medios locales e internacionales, Carín León recibió el reconocimiento de Stream platino por parte de Virgin Records por los más de 33 millones de reproducciones en Chile de su gran éxito “Primera cita”. 

Esta presentación se suma a la impresionante lista de hitos que Carín León ha alcanzado en los últimos meses, entre ellos su histórica victoria en Premio Lo Nuestro 2025, donde se alzó con cinco galardones, consolidándose como el artista masculino más premiado de la ceremonia.

El triunfo en Viña del Mar confirma la proyección internacional de Carín León, quien continuará su exitoso 2025 con su histórica presentación en el RODEOHOUSTON el próximo 9 de marzo, donde batió récords al vender 70,000 boletos en solo horas.

Originally from Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico, León embarked on his musical journey at the age of 15, taking his first steps by learning to play the guitar and developing skills in singing and songwriting. In his debut at the 64th Viña del Mar International Song Festival, the Mexican performer captivated the “Monster” of Quinta Vergara, taking home the coveted Gold and Silver ‘Gaviotas.’

With an hour-long show and an impressive vocal and musical display, the Hermosillo, Sonora native presented an extensive repertoire that covered his greatest hits and surprised the Chilean audience with a Techno Banda-infused version of Zalo Reyes' hit, “Ramito de Violeta,” paying tribute to the rich musical tradition of the host country.

The Mexican singer arrived at Viña del Mar at a career peak, having won his first GRAMMY® in February 2025 in the Best Mexican Music Album (Including Tejano) category for his acclaimed production Boca Chueca, Vol. 1, which also earned him the Latin GRAMMY® for Best Contemporary Mexican Music Album in November 2024.
