Last night at Y100’s Jingle Ball 2014 at the BB&T Center, the stars were out in full force with performances by Ariana Grande, Calvin Harris, Pharrell, Iggy Azalea, Jason Derulo, Meghan Trainor, MAGIC!, Charli XCX, Jessie J, Rixton, Mary Lambert, Kiesza, Becky G, Jake Miller, Shawn Mendes, and Nick Jonas. Special appearances included Y100’s on-air personalities, Mack, Nina and Nick of the “Mack with Nina & Nick” show, Fall Out Boy’s Pete Wentz, Orange is the New Black actress Dascha Polanco and singer-songwriter Prince Royce!
Charle XCX opened the night with hit Boom Clap and later joined Iggy Azalea on stage at the end of the evening and got fans on their feet with Fancy. Ariana Grande brought the Christmas cheer with holiday favorite Santa later performing her hits including Love Me Harder and Bang Bang with Jessie J for her hometown state! Meghan Trainor got the south Florida crowd moving with songs like Lips and Bass. The Voice judge, Pharrell performed Happy in his signature style and Calvin Harris kept up the Miami heat with hit Summer.
Earlier in the day, Y100’s Jingle Ball kicked off with the action-packed Y100 Jingle Ball Village, the official pre-event celebration. The event included performances by fan favorites Meghan Trainor, Jake Miller, Shawn Mendes, and Rixton, with special appearances by Y100’s Orion Paxx (formerly known as Logic MC), Asha Sing and the Macy’s Rising Star Winner, Before You Exit.
Y100’s Jingle Ball 2014 is part of the national iHeartRadio Jingle Ball Tour, the season’s biggest annual music event that captures the holiday spirit of the iHeartRadio app, in Los Angeles, Minneapolis, Philadelphia, New York, Boston, Washington D.C., Chicago and Tampa, with additional Jingle Ball concert events in Dallas, Seattle, Atlanta and Columbus.
