“Mentira” is not only one of the most beloved tracks in Spanish rock but also a song that resonates deeply with audiences across generations. Now, Beto Cuevas reimagines it with Ely Guerra in a stripped-down, emotionally charged rendition that preserves the rawness of the original while unveiling a fresh layer of vulnerability.

Serving as the first glimpse of Beto Cuevas Acústico, this live album reexplores the music that shaped his journey with La Ley and his solo career. In partnership with ONErpm and his label BlackElbow, Cuevas presents intimate performances that transform familiar hits into raw, visceral experiences.

“‘Mentira’ has been one of the most important songs of my life. Revisiting it after so many years and sharing it with Ely has been an incredible experience. Her voice brings a special depth. It’s more personal but carries the same emotion it always has,” shares Beto Cuevas.

Beto Cuevas Acústico pays tribute to the spirit of La Ley’s legendary MTV Unplugged—the album that solidified the band’s influence in Spanish rock—while pushing boundaries with refreshed interpretations of Cuevas’s solo work. Recorded live at Santiago de Chile’s Teatro Teletón, the album captures the energy and authenticity of a live show, featuring arrangements by Charly Rey and Carlos Figueroa and production by the legendary Humberto Gatica. Alongside “Mentira,” the album includes a special rendition of “El Duelo” with Ely Guerra and an unreleased track, “Todo es Perfecto,” featuring Javiera Flores.
