La exitosa gira Mismo Sitio, Distinto Lugar de Vetusta Morla llega por primera vez a Estados Unidos y Canadá, tras sus presentaciones en 13 países, de Latinoamérica (México, Argentina, Colombia, Chile, Perú y Uruguay) y de Europa (España, Portugal, Alemania, Bélgica, Holanda, Austria y Suiza).
En este nuevo tramo de su tour internacional, la banda visitará 10 ciudades de Estados Unidos y 1 de Canadá. Los shows programados para octubre se celebrarán en Boston, Washington, Toronto, Chicago, Dallas, San Antonio, Houston, Tucson, San Diego y New York, éste último ya con entradas agotadas.
La banda nominada en el 2018 a tres premios Latin GRAMMY® por su último disco Mismo Sitio, Distinto Lugar, visitará por primera vez la mayoría de las ciudades que conforman este tour. Su primera visita a Estados Unidos fue en New York, Chicago, Washington, Austin y Los Ángeles en el año 2012.
En cada tramo de la gira, Vetusta Morla está afianzando su posicionamiento como una de las bandas de rock más importantes de la escena actual. Así lo ha venido confirmando el multitudinario público que acude a sus conciertos, y la crítica musical. La prestigiosa revista Billboard les incluyó en su top 10 de bandas latinas a seguir. Además, Vetusta Morla se convirtieron en el 2018 en la primera banda española de su género capaz de congregar a 38.000 personas en un concierto propio, celebrado el 23 de junio en Madrid.
El crecimiento de Vetusta Morla no se circunscribe exclusivamente a su último álbum, sino que se ha producido de manera paulatina disco tras disco y gira tras gira. Así ha sucedido con sus canciones que se han convertido desde su primer álbum, Un día en el mundo, en himnos generacionales y en inspiración referencial para la obra de artistas de otras disciplinas. Recientemente la canción “La Deriva”, perteneciente al álbum del mismo título, ha sido incluida en la tercera temporada de la serie “La Casa de Papel”. En el último capítulo, titulado igual que la canción de Vetusta Morla, la actriz Úrsula Corberó, en su papel de “Tokio”, protagoniza una escena en la que baila “La Deriva”. Así mismo en la nueva temporada de la serie “Élite”, también de difusión en Netflix y que se estrena este viernes 6, se incluye una canción del álbum “Mapas”.

Vetusta Morla's successful Mismo Sitio, Distinto Lugar Tour comes for the first time to the United States and Canada, after a successful leg around 13 territories in Latin America (Mexico, Argentina, Colombia, Chile, Peru and Uruguay, among others) and Europe (Spain, Portugal, Germany, Belgium, Holland, Austria and Switzerland).
In this new leg of their international tour, the band will be playing at 1 Canadian and 10 U.S. cities. The shows scheduled for October will be held in Boston, Washington, Toronto, Chicago, Dallas, San Antonio, Houston, Tucson, San Diego and New York (sold out).
The three-time Latin GRAMMY® nominated band for their latest album Mismo Sitio, Distinto Lugar, will be playing for the first time at most of the cities that make up the tour. They first took their live show to the United States in New York, Chicago, Washington, Austin and Los Angeles in 2012.
With each new leg of the tour, they will consolidate their place as one of the most important rock bands in the current scene. The prestigious Billboard Magazine named Vetusta Morla “One of the top 10 Latin bands to follow". In addition, in 2018 Vetusta Morla became the first Spanish band of their genre to gather a record of 38,000 people in a headlining concert, held on June 23 in Madrid.
Vetusta Morla’s milestones and evolution are not limited exclusively to their latest album, but have gradually developed with every tour and album release. Since they released their first album, Un día en el mundo, their songs have become generation anthems and have inspired artists from other disciplines. Recently the song "La Deriva", from the album of the same name, has been featured on "Money Heist"'s third season soundtrack. In the last episode, with the same title as Vetusta Morla's song, the actress Úrsula Corberó, in her role as "Tokyo," stars in a scene where she dances to the song "La Deriva". Also, a song from the album "Mapas" is featured on Netfix's "Elite" new season (available Friday, September 6th).
