La China Sonidera is a group formed 10 years ago in Oaxaca, southwest of Mexico; a cumbia group, seasoned as it happens with the incomparable food of the area. They are a group that mixes at a distinguishing point; intertwining Colombian cumbia, vallenato, hip hop, ranchero rock and coastal funk, and that released the video clip of the song Las Velas Encendidas the first single of their third album called “Presente”, which is ready to be launched on July 29th.
“Presente” is an album produced by Grammy winner Andrés Levin, a renowned Venezuelan producer and musician who has worked with Ely Guerra, El Gran Silencio, Miguel Bosé and Orishas, among others, as well as being part of the Latin group Yerba Buena.
Las Velas Encendidas is an original song by La Sonora Dinamita, which La China Sonidera has performed live since their start and which they decided to officially record. The video was made by Un Medio Digital, where you can witness La China Sonidera in the company of Andrés Levin during the process of recording the song in the studio, all accompanied by good humor and enthusiasm of their members.
The album “Presente”, will be presented and played live this July 29 during the famous and legendary celebrations of Guelaguetza in Oaxaca City, Mexico.
