Los Angeles, CA (August 29, 2011) – WISIN & YANDEL won the award for “Best Latino Artist” from Tr3s: MTV, Musica y Mas yesterday once again confirming the Puerto Rican duo’s place as the undisputed leaders of not only the urban genre but the Latin music scene.
Tr3s launched its second annual recognition award in honor of this weekend’s MTV Video Music Awards in Los Angeles. Other nominees in the category included Enrique Iglesias, Don Omar, Mana and Prince Royce. The winner was chosen after thousands of votes were submitted on http://www.tr3s.com .
Wisin & Yandel will accept their award during the Spanish-subtitled transmission of the 2011 MTV VMA’s this upcoming Monday, September 5 on Tr3s: MTV, Musica y Mas.
The award is the second major accomplishment that Wisin & Yandel attained last week. The duo surpassed 10 million fans on their Facebook page making them one of the Latin artists with the most social network followers in the world.

El premio fue el segundo logro importante de Wisin & Yandel de la semana. El dúo acaba de sobrepasar los 10 millones de fans en su página oficial de Facebook. Esto logro los convierte en uno de los artistas latinos con más seguidores en las redes sociales de todo el mundo.
