Atlantic Records singer/songwriter and artist fueled by social change, MILCK has released a brand new Spanish version of her global viral anthem, “Quiet” – “Quiet (Spanish)” is now available via all digital music retailers and streaming services HERE.
“I hope that people will be reminded that the desire to be heard knows no boundaries,” MILCK tells Latina Magazine. “Regardless of what country we are from, or what language we speak, we are all human beings, connected at a deep and spiritual level. The movement for love and tolerance is growing all over the world and it’d be an honor to continue being a voice of support for this global movement. Because I can speak a little Spanish and love the language, I wanted to contribute to the global bond of this movement by singing in Spanish. I hope people can feel the emotion, and be healed, or feel less alone.”
The commanding live performer recently wrapped a string of North American tour dates alongside Australian indie pop singer-songwriter Amy Shark as well as a few dates supporting Multiple GRAMMY Award winning artist and label mate Jason Mraz. MILCK will be releasing a brand new single this spring.
Earlier this year, MILCK released her debut EP “This Is Not The End.” The seven-song collection features her single “Quiet,” which in 2017 became widely known as the unofficial anthem of the Women’s March movement, after MILCK teamed up with two dozen female singers to perform acapella flash mobs of the song on the streets in Washington, DC. A video of the last flash mob was captured by award-winning director Alma Har’el and quickly went viral, drawing over 14 million plays in just two days. “Quiet” has proved MILCK’s worldwide breakthrough, a cathartic pop anthem for people of all races, creeds, and colors who have suffered and survived in the face of trauma, trial, and tribulation. MILCK released a new studio recording of “Quiet,” in November as her “musical #METOO” in light of the massive movement of women and survivors speaking out against sexual assault. On EP release day, the LA-based artist performed a tear-jerking piano-only version of her viral anthem “Quiet” on The Today Show (watch here) and went on to headline this year’s Women’s Women’s March on NYC alongside powerful women Yoko Ono, Halsey and Whoopi Goldberg.
