Hialeah Park’s Fountain Terrace will host a weekend of Latin music concerts presented by Jack Daniel’s featuring Miami disco / salsa queen Lucy Grau on Friday, November 17, and Jose Fajardo, Jr. and Tito Puente, Jr. on Saturday, November 18, 2017. Both shows are free and open to the public of all ages, and both begin at 9 p.m. DJ El Russo will spin his mix of pop and Latin dance tunes beginning at 8 p.m.

Grau is best known for her salsa-fied version of the Donna Summer disco classics “On the Radio” and “Last Dance”. Singer and percussionist Fajardo Jr. carries on the charanga legacy established by his father, Cuban bandleader and flautist Jose Fajardo, recording and performing throughout the U.S. Puente Jr. is the son of the famous Mambo King Tito Puente who now leads his own in-demand Latin / salsa band.

Hialeah Park began making history in 1922 as the Miami Kennel Club, the first pari-mutuel greyhound track in America, founded by Missouri cattleman James Bright and aviation pioneer Glenn Curtiss. In early 1925, the newly renamed Hialeah Park opened for thoroughbred racing over a one-mile dirt track.
