The most emblematic ska-fusion group in Mexico has celebrated their XX Anniversary with a spectacular show where an estimated 20,000 fans filled up the Arena Ciudad de México to its capacity. The impeccable event production along with the vibrant presentation of Panteón Rococó and their invited special guests was energetic right from the first video images and chords of the band’s opening song of the night, “Viernes de Webeo.”
More than two hours of music was played, visiting all the hits from the band’s discography. Between the band’s enormous gratitude and the fan’s enjoyment, this concert was easily one of the most unforgettable moments of Panteón Rococó’s 20 years of career. The creative art and music direction was curated by Enzo Villaparedes, a previous member of the legendary Venezuelan ska band Desorden Publico. The night at the Arena was full of visual and pyrotechnic effects, and special guests including Ruben Albarran (Café Tacuba), Jose Manuel Aguilera (La Barrance), Denisse Gutierrez (Hello Seahorse), the legendary singer and songwriter Oscar Chavez, Toño Lira (Lira & Roll), Maria Barracuda and Francisco Familiar (DLD) among others.
The group has toured all over Mexico and Central America since April, performing in coliseums, arenas and massive concerts celebrating their history of conquering new audiences without a frontier or continent barrier. Panteón Rococó is one of the most wanted rock/ska Mexican groups for huge festivals in Europe and in Latin America, and is a heavy influence to the new generation of bands.
The XX Anniversary concert concluded past midnight with an encore of five songs, closing with “La Carencia,” one of the band’s most popular tunes. While the audience sang along to the hit, Dr. Shenka thanked everyone on behalf of the whole band for allowing them to live two decades of musical adventures. “Y queremos mas…!” (…And we want more).
Panteón Rococó will be continuing their celebratory tour in and out of Mexico though out this year. They have already confirmed their first tour dates in U.S.A., where they will begin performing in September.

Panteón Rococó, continuará su gira en celebración de su aniversario, dentro y fuera de México y a lo largo de este año, confirmando las primeras fechas para los EEUU en una gira que dará comienzo en Septiembre.
