Los Angeles, CA – June 19, 2015 – Palenke Soultribe had a perfect kickoff tour season at Pachanga Festival in Austin on the NPR / KUTX stage last May. Taste maker KUTX Radio station made ‘Blanco y Negro’ Song Of The Day, selecting the Columbian band as one of the seven “Must See Acts” of the Festival.
The band, known for their distinctive sound combining afro-Columbian cumbia with electro music, is now getting ready to depart again to their 4th European Tour. This time around, they have two confirmed shows at the world known Glastonbury Festival in England. The band will also perform in other massive festivals this summer including Colours of Ostrava at Czech Republic’s main stage, where artists such Bjork and St. Vincent will perform, among other great acts.
The tour will continue to Brussels, Luxembourg, Croatia, Switzerland and to a great club date in Berlin. Afterwards, it will end at Panamania’s Pan American Games in Toronto, a free outdoors festival, sharing the stage with Tribe Called Red and Calle 13, among others.
Later in fall, Palenke Soultribe will perform a showcase at Womex. Womexis anesteemed professional music conference and showcase festival that will be held in Budapest, Hungary this year from October 21st to the 25th.
The European and U.S. Tour comes in perfect timing for the band, who is about to finish their 4th studio album Sangre, due this fall.
Los Angeles, CA – 19 de Junio, 2015 – Palenke Soultribe tuvo un perfecto inicio de temporada en el Pachanga Festival en Austin, Texas; en el escenario presentado por NPR/KUTX el pasado mes de Mayo. KUTX, estación de radio considerada de gran influencia musical, seleccionó el tema: “Blanco y Negro” del grupo colombiano basado en Los Angeles, como “Canción del Día”, recomendando al grupo colombiano como uno de los 7 artistas que “no deben perderse” en el Festival.
El grupo, conocido internacionalmente por su distintiva fusión de cumbia afro-colombiana con música electro, se prepara ahora para iniciar su cuarta gira Europea agendada para este Verano. En esta ocasión la gira incluye 2 shows en el Glastobury Festival en Inglaterra, el festival al aire libre mas grande de Europa. Palenke Soultribe también se presentará en otros festivales masivos este verano, incluyendo Colours of Ostrava de la República Checa, en el escenario principal; donde otros artistas como Bjork y St. Vincent estarán también presentándose entre otros reconocidos grupos de todo el mundo.
El tour continuará en Bruselas, Luxemburgo, Croacia, Suiza y Berlin. Más tarde, la gira de Verano culminará en Panamania Fest dentro de las celebraciones de los Juegos Pan Americanos en Toronto, en un festival gratuito al aire libre donde copartirán escenario con Tribe Called Red y Calle 13, entre otros.
