(Los Angeles, CA -Date) – Indie rock band Minimal, who has been consistently rising in the world of Latin alternative rock in the U.S., released “Fauna,” today,the first single and title of their upcoming fourth album to be released July 10th.
“Fauna” embodies the band’s natural rock vibe with blues carried along by a heavy bass. The album-titled single kicks off their upcoming fourth album, which the band decided to approach and record in a different style from their previous recordings.
The song encloses certain decadence; making references to the night life, alcohol and the sensual attitude of “no regrets” that characterizes the band’s existence. It is also characterized by the distorted bass that is significantly aggressive within the production. It touches an experimental aspect, starting off in a traditional rock blues tempo and transitioning into an up-tempo rock tune.
The album is produced by multi-Grammy winner Rafael Lazzaro, and was experimentally recorded at an antique church in Wynwood, the widely known street art district and the epicenter for art in Miami, where the band lives and gets much of their inspiration from. The whole album was recorded in a week, indulging in the church’s raw atmospheric ability to insert a different tone to the album.
The band has been critically acclaimed with their previous album is no stranger to the public eye, MTV IGGY praised their single “A Deriva,” off their previous album Antibalas Corazón, produced by Sebastian Krys, saying that the band “deals with love and loss in the best way they know how “.

Con el bajo distorsionado y bastante agresivo en la producción “Fauna” fluye de un Blues Rock tradicional hacia un Rock bailable. El corte marca el inicio de una nueva etapa, pues ha sido grabado de manera diferente. El álbum producido por Rafael Lazzaro, ganador de múltiples Grammy Latino, fue grabado experimentalmente en una antigua iglesia del distrito de Wynwood, epicentro y motor artístico de Miami, con una vibrante escena de galerías y una de las colecciones de grafitti y arte callejero más grandes e impresionantes del mundo En ese ambiente de inspiración es donde los integrantes de Minimal han residido desde sus inicios. El álbum fue grabado en una semana, aprovechando de manera gratificante el sonido crudo atmosférico que insertó un tono distinto al de sus álbums anteriores.
Minimal ha recibido excelentes críticas de prensa con sus discos anteriores y con frecuencia se le aclamó por ciertas canciones como el sencillo “A Deriva”, de su álbum previo “Antibalas” producido por Sebastian Krys, tema que MTV Iggy definió como un tema en el cual el grupo “trata el amor y la pérdida de la mejor manera que el grupo sabe hacer”.
