Latin Grammy and Grammy winner Vicentico is nominated for three Latin Grammys: “Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album”, “Best Rock Song”, and “Best Long Form Music Video” for his latest album “Ultimo Acto”. Vicentico is widely known as the lead singer of the legendary Argentine rock band Los Fabulosos Cadillacs. Ultimo Acto is his 6th solo album, released on Sony Music, and went Platinum in Argentina on the day of its release.

Grammy and Latin Grammy nominated electro-rock super group, Kinky, is nominated for “Best Long Form Music Video” for their career-spanning MTV Unplugged album. Kinky’s MTV Unplugged includes fresh versions of classic songs, featuring collaborations with Carla Morrison, Mala Rodriguez, Banda Los Recoditos, Voz de Mando, and Beto Zapata. Kinky originally formed in the musically diverse and culturally rich scene of Monterrey, Mexico. Since their first shows, Kinky earned a reputation for their captivating live shows and have toured the world.

Centavrvs, out of Mexico City, celebrates their first Latin Grammy nomination for the album Sombras de Oro for “Best Alternative Music Album.” After the release of the album last fall, Centavrvs has received widespread attention for their innovative fusion of electronic beats, experimental rock, and hypnotic vocals—with hints of traditional Mexican music. The band recently played the LAMC in New York City and SXSW.

Astro, the electro-pop outfit out of Santiago, Chile, was nominated for “Best Alternative Song” off of their recently-released sophomore album “Chicos De La Luz”. The album was recorded at Red Bull Studios in Sao Paulo, Brazil, and has taken the band to The LAMC in New York City, as well as Ruido Fest in Chicago—and they’ll soon be making an appearance at Supersonico Festival in Los Angeles. The band’s first album received accolades from various press outlets for its innovativeness, including the New York Times, which called them “A joy that needs no translation.”

In its first 10 years, Nacional Records has earned 77 Latin Grammy and Grammy wins and nominations.
