Move Concerts, the largest independent concert promoter in Latin America, has joined forces with WorkShow, Brazil’s top management and artist booking company, and with Marcus Buaiz, the renowned Brazilian entrepreneur responsible for branding and sponsorships, including clients such as world famous soccer player Neymar, in a joint venture to create WMM.

WMM’s mission is to be a talent agency, providing the artists on the company’s roster a full-service operation that will include, aside from bookings, assisting the in-house artists with the “back office” component of their careers, sponsorship/branding opportunities, and social media. WorkShow’s artists reach over 50,000,000 followers on social media.

Pepeu Correa, an executive with experience in the financial markets and in live entertainment, will head this new company. WMM is the brainchild of Pepeu, who created the model for the three companies as a joint venture. In his words, “We plan to improve the professionalism of a market known for its peculiar and challenging characteristics. Our roster of artists will benefit from WMM as they’ll be able to rely on a company structure and support rarely seen before in Brazil.”

Phil Rodriguez, a veteran of some forty years in the live music field and CEO of Move Concerts, says, “This is an exciting opportunity. We bring not only our extensive touring experience in South America to the table but also, with our offices in various countries throughout the region, the possibility of assisting some of our artists to become established in these markets as well as in Brazil.”

Wander Divino de Oliveira, president of WorkShow, who in the ten years since he began his company, has created a roster of artists that in 2017 included Marilia Mendonca, Maira and Maraisa, and Henrique and Juliano, five of the Top Ten most frequently played artists in Brazil, knows this is a step by step process. “We have the ambition and the willingness to grow, but more importantly we want to keep our feet on the ground, focused on results, not glamour.”

William Crunfli, president of Move Concerts Brazil, who began promoting concerts in Brazil in 1981 with Queen’s historic appearance in Sao Paulo and who has been Phil Rodriguez’s partner for more than 30 years, adds, “Live entertainment requires productive performance in several areas. With WMM we plan to invest in various verticals within the world of live entertainment.”

“We have a lot of ongoing projects, and we are going to amaze the market with our structure and professionalism,” promises Marcus Buaiz, WMM partner.
