3 years after their last studio album, which earned them their 6th Latin GRAMMY and 1st American GRAMMY, multi-award winner singer-songwriters Jesse & Joy returns with a new hit called “Te esperé”. Produced by Jesse and co-produced by Charlie Heat (Kanye West, Madonna, Ty Dolla Sign), the song comes in tandem with an official video, both available today November 23rd in all digital platforms and radio stations. With this new single, the artists showcase their emblematic voices, unique sound, and present a combination of talents that, when fused together, create melodies that will be part of our lives forever.
The video for “Te esperé” was shot in Los Angeles, California, one of the most representative and important cities for the Latin community in the United States. Directed by Dano Cerny, American director responsible for successful music videos for artists like “Galantis” & “The Chainsmokers” amongst others, it narrates de duality of the relationship process (from falling in love all the way to the breakup) for a young couple that is experiencing the evolution of a romance. Full of mysticism throughout, the video ends at the end of a relationship that, just like in real life, started full of hopes and dreams.
With millions of followers in Social Media and billions of streams from all over the world, Jesse & Joy are also activists, and they use the global platform at their disposal to speak for those who have no voice. From their collaborations with UnidosUS, PETA, the reconstruction work after the earthquakes in Mexico, to their recent efforts in defense of the rights for millions of migrants in the United States.
