ENGLISH

So at this time I’d like to welcome you to

our live presentation, coming to you live

from Miami, this is Aldea Global TV, my

name is Kike Posada, and I’m delighted to

be a part of this wonderful event taking

place next Saturday, September 15, at 7:30

p.m. at the Olympia Theatre or Gusman

Center in Miami, with the return of Deva

Premal and Miten, this time they’re

joined by Manose. Deva Premal and Miten

with Manose, The Soul of Mantra Live next

Saturday

right now joining us live from Montreal

it’s Manose. Manose is a Bansari flute

player, musician from Nepal who has been

travelling with Deva and Miten for

over 10 years Manose, so happy to have

you here

Aldea Global and Boom can’t

wait to see you next Saturday how are

you feeling about coming back to Miami

Thank you so much Kike for having me in

your in your program, I’m honored, and yes

and I love the culture there and I love

the people, it’s just a great city (Miami),

the Latino culture  there, it’s great,

so thank you.  Yeah, it feels great, we

had a beautiful concert the day before in

New York City and we’re here in Montreal

and

it’s funny we travel all over the

world, going to different cities and

even though we live different lifestyles

speak different languages it’s like

different colors, it doesn’t matter.

For me is like coming to

different cities and different places, in a

way it’s the same to me, but especially

Miami has a little more, wants for me

because I have also many good friends

there and of course, yeah, Miami,

thank you, I’m looking forward.

“You been  for quite a long time in the West, what have you learned from Western musicians?”

Well, I’ve learned a lot,

Which part of life you can learn? There is so much to

learn I mean, every moment you can learn

as for music I have learned to

listen a lot I think for me right when I

grew up in Nepal you know like

starting the little boy started to play

the flute I was I was just so innocent I

was just playing in a way that it was for nobody it was just a wonder of a

child wanting to play this simple bamboo

flute and I would just play for hours and

hours just one note, and get so blissed out

so my essence of music is there.

When I got introduced to different complex

music, you name it, from jazz

to rock music and Celtic all this

different Western music that we love

which has very much harmonic bass, lots

of which I love so much. The

Western Classical music so

yeah I have to learn so much, just being

around some amazing musicians in my

life also being with Deva and Miten.

Miten is incredible, his way of

invoking the spirit through the

music I mean the music is the tool

for us to express what we feel

inside for for our deep meditation

and for deep peace. So again I have

learned a lot from the musical Western musical teachers

around and all my friends but I’ve also

learned quite a lot but just

being around with Deva and Miten and

still listen to make it more, listen to

how to make the silence to be

even more musical, so that simple simple

note that I play when I was kid and playing

for almost like I don’t know, more than

30 years, and I’ve learned to I’ve learnt

a lot to even how to combine those two

together. So yes, I have learnt

and I’m still learning, learning you know

every moment you learn.  okay keep I wanna try do

you listen keep learning thank you thank

you for asking.

“What would you say Western musicians need to learn from Eastern musicians?”

Well you know again, I

Personally I don’t really

see my personal overview of the

missions and how we like to

put people in a different box and if you

look it’s not. Even

Eastern music has different way to

approach music. It’s the same notes

and if you look at

the chemistry of it, Why do we play music?  We

play music to feel good.  Why do we want to

feel good? This makes us happy.  Why do we

wanna make happy?

Because that makes us alive

that makes us do something that is good

to everybody, when you’re happy. So

music is an amazing gift for

Humanity, a divine gift. So

technically we can always learn so much

from both sides and now the world, is a 21st

century of the internet we are so the

world is not separated anymore we are all

together, so it’s beautiful we are all

merging together and we just

need to combine more get to know

more each other and learn more we

need to learn more how to love each

other so that music helps us for

that, there’s no boundary.

“Do you guys have a ‘Routine’ before each show?  Meditate, Center, Intention set, that sort of thing?”

Yes, of course, we do have one ,and again even as we travel we have a group, such a great

group of people around us, our friends

who support us and Deva and Miten our

whole team, our band Joby Baker on bass, Spencer Cozens on keyboards and Danish Rishi on percussion they are all master musicians

master musicians and even our whole crew

with the lighting, the sound system

merchandise, they are here just because

they really want to be here, they believe

in what we do and that’s the whole

team of consciousness, we

bounce around from one place to another

that’s already a part of meditation I

feel and and before our

invocation for the concert we

definitely make a prayer out to each

other so we can give

to our friends who came to see us after

every year they come to see us

it’s so much love and their way to the

gift,  so when you all come together in

the concert, that’s a

very deep meditation and

prayer altogether.

“Advice for those who attend your Concerts, keys to listening better, how to get in the flow, the mood, the ocean of your music…”

Well, advice I don’t like to give advice,

You guys know I do you know, again it’s so

simple, just be, all you need

to do is let go your ego, that’s what

I think, that’s the easiest, you know we

always feel we can’t even me Manose, I feel it’s a so interesting how you recognize yourself if

you’re gonna put yourself in front of

you and relate and you gotta meet Manose, how are you gonna meet Manose, Who you gonna meet?  Are you gonna meet

the flute player Manose or whoever he is

are gonna meet the long hair Manose who

you really want to meet?  So my advice or

my request is just come just you bring yourself,

your true self when you come to our concert it’s a

celebration, come as who you are, a true trueness

of it so don’t bring your office person or

yoga person, come the true

yourself.

“You are considered to be the main musician to take Bansari to the whole world, what does the instrument mean to you?”

Well, you know again, it’s the

instrument, the Bansari, it’s

a beautiful instrument, and if you

look at it, it’s so simple, so simple I

have a bag of it right here, so simple if

you see this few holes there and right

there good, see? What’s beautiful is

the simplicity of it is so beautiful and

when you play it makes you very calm and,

I’m so happy that, somehow I get to

travel the world and play this,

and you know, it’s basically giving

this taste of different part of the

world that, I’m just trying to

say like, I don’t really take credit

that I am the best Bansari

player playing all over the world and

giving, I’m more feel like, I have

surrender to this sound and I’m just

following it, I feel honored.

Sometimes I wonder why I travel so much

I could just stay home. I

definitely miss Nepal it’s already

almost two years, haven’t been there

and miss it very much, but at the same time I

just say ‘somehow the Divine or whomever

out there has put me in this place ‘this

your job, this is waht you are meant to do,

you travel play this instrument’; so that’s what I do

that’s what I have to surrender, so even if

I feel I don’t want to play, I tell you the truth

the flute tells me to play so I play so you want me to play

right now I can play something

absolutely I’ll give you a little

morning meditation, all right
