Hialeah Park is celebrating their casino operations’ fourth anniversary with a spectacular lineup of concerts beginning Thursday, August 24, and running through Sunday, August 27, 2017. Planned events include performances by Miami’s disco / salsa queen Lucy Grau (Thursday, August 24, 9 p.m., Fountain Terrace), Spanish crooner Danny Daniel and Cuban singer / songwriter Amaury Gutierrez (Friday, August 25, Paddock Garden), Cubaton stars Gente de Zona (Saturday, August 26, 32nd Street Parking Lot Stage), the charanga master Jose Fajardo, Jr. and the mambo heir Tito Puente, Jr. (Sunday, August 27, Fountain Terrace).
There will be food trucks curated by the Cuban Guys, sets by the regular DJs Larry Lopez and El Russo, and more. In addition, a car and truck show is planned for Sunday, August 27 in the Paddock Garden from noon to 4 p.m. All concerts and the car show are free and open to the public except for the Saturday show by Gente De Zona, which is a paid event; tickets are available online here: www.gentedezona.miami.

ABOUT HIALEAH PARK
Hialeah Park began making history in 1922 as the Miami Kennel Club, the first pari-mutuel greyhound track in America, founded by Missouri cattleman James Bright and aviation pioneer Glenn Curtiss. In early 1925, the newly renamed Hialeah Park opened for thoroughbred racing over a one-mile dirt track.
Today Hialeah Park is home to a state-of-the-art casino, which began operations in August of 2013. An official corporate partner of the University of Miami, Hialeah Park is listed as an Audubon Bird Sanctuary and is recorded in the National Register of Historic Places.
