GRAMMY-nominated musician and composer, Gustavo Galindo, returns to the United States to present his latest musical production titled, ‘RENACER’ (‘REBORN’). An album with rock, pop, folk and country sounds, inspired by the artist’s life between two countries (the United States and Mexico) and two cultures; giving the music a unique signature to which he refers as: “Chilan-gringo”.
‘RENACER’ was produced and recorded by renowned and multi-GRAMMY winning producer, Alan Saucedo, known for his work with Lila Downs, Natalia Lafourcade, Leonel García, Camila, Reik, among others. The album includes 10 new tracks penned by Galindo, some in collaboration with great songwriters such as Leonel García, Claudia Brant, Ale Alberti, Stefano Vieni, among others. It also includes two English-language songs and two musical collaborations with talented artists such as Costa Rican singer-songwriter, Debi Nova, and Puerto Rican musician, Pedro Capó.
The new material was inspired by experiences about life and death and the process of the rebirth of the soul after surviving difficult times. “Nada Que Perder”, “Grita al Cielo” ft. Pedro Capó, “Corazón en Llamas”, and “Un Paso Al Día”, his latest single, are some Galindo’s previously released singles announcing his big come back after seven years without releasing a studio album. It should be noted that his debut album ‘Entre la Ciudad y el Mar’, produced by Gustavo Santaolalla, earned him his first GRAMMY nomination in 2012.
The cover art for ‘RENACER’ is a design by Mexican muralist, Jorge Tellaeche. The image represents a totem symbolizing the essence of Gustavo Galindo’s musical work and his life today.

El músico y compositor nominado al GRAMMY, Gustavo Galindo, regresa a los Estados Unidos a presentar su más reciente producción discográfica titulada, ‘RENACER’. Un álbum con sonidos de rock, pop, folk y country, inspirado en la vida del artista entre dos países (Estados Unidos y México) y dos culturas; dando un sello único al que el artista define como: “Chilan-gringo”.
‘RENACER’ fue producido y grabado por el reconocido productor múltiple ganador del GRAMMY, Alan Saucedo, conocido por su trabajo con Lila Downs, Natalia Lafourcade, Leonel García, Camila, Reik, entre otros. Contiene 10 temas inéditos de la autoría de Galindo, algunos en colaboración con grandes compositores como Leonel García, Claudia Brant, Ale Alberti, Stefano Vieni, entre otros. Este también incluye dos temas en inglés y dos colaboraciones musicales con talentosos artistas como la cantautora costarricense, Debi Nova y el músico puertorriqueño, Pedro Capó.
Este material fue inspirado en vivencias sobre la vida y la muerte y el proceso del renacimiento del alma después de sobrevivir a tiempos difíciles. “Nada Que Perder”, “Grita al Cielo” ft. Pedro Capó, “Corazón en Llamas”, y “Un Paso Al Día”, su sencillo más reciente, fueron algunos de los sencillos lanzados previamente por Galindo, anunciando su regreso después de siete años sin sacar un álbum de estudio. Cabe mencionar que su álbum debut ‘Entre la Ciudad y el Mar’, producido por Gustavo Santaolalla, fue quien le dio su primera nominación al GRAMMY en el 2012.
