Dua Lipa has released the video for “New Rules” off of her self-titled debut album on Warner Bros. Records. The video was shot in Miami and directed by Henry Schofield (“Lost In Your Light”).

On her inspiration for the track, Dua describes “New Rules” as “the breakup song I wish I had when I was breaking up with someone. I think it’s something everyone can relate to.” The video explores the strength in friendships and the support people share when someone goes through a breakup. Having previously worked with Scholfield on the “Lost In Your Light” video, Dua says “I’ve worked with Henry before and he does really cool work with choreography. He just has such brilliant ideas.”

Last Month Dua released her highly-anticipated debut album Dua Lipa to rave reviews from the press. Complex declared “Dua Lipa breathes life into each track with her delectably soulful rasp and the feisty confidence of a seasoned pro” and The New York Times proclaimed “Ms. Lipa is a big-voiced, broad-stroke songwriter and performer who was raised on pop bangers and is now writing her own.”

Fresh off of her performance at Glastonbury to one of the biggest crowds the John Peel tent had ever seen, Dua is set to return to the U.S. this fall to play 10 shows as supporting act on Bruno Mars’ 24K Magic World Tour. Dua will join the tour September 14th through September 30th, making stops across the U.S., including two nights at New York City’s iconic Madison Square Garden.
