(Los Angeles, CA, Tuesday November 16, 2010) The wait is over, Christopher Von Uckermann officially launches his career with the release of his album Somos, which debuted on the Top 5 of iTunes under the label peerT6H Music.
“Somos” was created with the help of renowned and critically acclaimed producers George Noriega (Ricky Martin, Shakira), Jodi Marr (Mika), Luigie González, Roman X, Dan Vikta, Ulises Lozano and Gil Cerezo (Kinky). The album showcases a new sound for Uckermann, quite different from his time spent with latin supergroup RBD, of which he was a member for more than 5 years. With an energetic mix of pop, electronica and big band, SOMOS is an experimental and ground-breaking effort.
The young star presents 11 exciting tracks on this new project -9 of which were co-written by Christopher- , including: “Mundo Irreal”, “Hacia el Sol”, “Apaga la Máquina”, “Mente Mayor”, “123”, title track “Somos” and “Sinfonía”, the albums first single. The album will be released simultaneously in the US, Mexico, and other important markets like Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama, Japan, France, Germany, Italy, Sweden among other countries and it will be available November 23 in Colombia and Peru. The digital version will include the bonus track “Imaginación” and is available exclusively through iTunes.
To support the release of the album in the US, Christopher will meet with his fans to sign autographs in Houston (Pasadena) on Friday November 19 and in Los Angeles on Saturday November 20 where the audience will have a chance to meet and talk with the Mexican singer-songwriter in person.
Lately, you might have seen Christopher in his starring role on the first season of KDabra, the hit new show by Fox Latin America. He has confimed his appearance on the second season of the show, which is now in the works and for which he will be traveling to Colombia for several months.
“Sinfonía”, the albums first single, has been climbing up the charts for radio airplay in the US. The video for the song was shot in beautiful Sonoma, California a few weeks ago and transports us to a world of fantasy amongst violins and fauns.

“Somos”, álbum que estuvo bajo la producción de importantes y reconocidos productores como George Noriega (Ricky Martin, Shakira), Jodi Marr (Mika), Luigie González, Roman X, Dan Vikta, Ulises Lozano y Gil Cerezo (Kinky), muestra una faceta totalmente diferente a lo que fue su trayectoria en el grupo RBD del cual fue parte por más de 5 años. Mezclando energéticamente sonidos como el Pop, Electrónica y Big Band, SOMOS es un disco totalmente experimental vanguardista.
La estrella juvenil presenta una propuesta musical original la que incluye 11 temas de los cuales 9 fueron co-escritos por Christopher entre los que se encuentran: “Mundo Irreal”, “Hacia El Sol”, “Apaga La Máquina”, “Mente Mayor”, “123” y “Sinfonía”, primer corte promocional del disco y Somos, tema que da nombre al disco entre otros. El álbum sale a la venta en Estados Unidos, México y otros mercados importantes como Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panamá, Japón, Francia, Alemania, Italia, Suecia entre otros países, y el 23 de noviembre estará disponible en Colombia y Perú. La versión digital contará con el bonus track de “Imaginación” y estará disponible solamente en Itunes.
Para avalar la promoción en Estados Unidos del disco, Christopher Von Uckermann se estará reuniendo con sus fans realizando firma de autógrafos en Houston (Pasadena) éste próximo viernes 19 de noviembre y sábado 20 de noviembre en Los Ángeles en donde la audiencia podrá conocer y tener contacto directo con el cantautor y actor mexicano.
Cabe resaltar que Christopher quien estelarizó la primer temporada de la teleserie KDabra de Fox Latinoamérica, ya prepara la grabación de la segunda temporada de dicha serie por lo que estará viajando a Colombia próximamente para proceder con la filmación, la cual durará varios meses.
“Sinfonía” punta de lanza del disco se encuentra escalando fuertemente en las listas de popularidad de las estaciones radiales del país, y cuenta con el video musical que fue grabado en la bella ciudad de Sonoma, California hace unas semanas y nos lleva a un mundo de fantasía entre violines y faunos.
