Bárbara Padilla Dazzled Bellas Artes
Under the premise “you can give the opportunity to live in the fight against leukemia”, classical crossover soprano Bárbara Padilla and tenor Fernando de la Mora offered the concert “Compartiendo Vida En Navidad”, last Saturday night at the main hall of Palacio de Bellas Artes, before an audience that surrendered.
Accompanied by the Mexiquense Symphony Orchestra and the Choir of the Symphony Orchestra of Estado de Mexico, led by Rodrigo Macias and Manuel Flores respectively, the concert was kaleidoscope of emotions not only because of the sensitivity that the musical program sparked, but also due to the precedent speeches and because Barbara Padilla her self is a cancer survivor.
“A bone marrow transplant is simply what allowed me to move forward in this life, and now I have the privilege of stepping on the stage of the Palacio de Bellas Artes along with maestro Fernando de la Mora singing for a cause that’s very close to my heart”.
The repertoire of 13 emblematic songs of the Christmas season culminated with a prolonged wave of applause and standing ovation in recognition of the duo and their altruistic work.
