Today El B is premiering the video for his single “Sigo Aqui´’ (I’m Still Here) featuring American hip hop artist, Talib Kweli, exclusively on global music and entertainment platform TIDAL. Members and non-members alike can access the video at TIDAL.com/elb.
The video, directed by Evan Rodriguez of Merge Studios (Cris Cab, Mercedes, HBO, MTV, Absolut) and shot at Studio 26 in Miami, FL, captures heart wrenching scenes of corrupt systems and critical social issues across the Americas, both Latin America and the U.S.A. El B and Talib Kweli share a striking force of visceral emotions weaving together two languages and two cultures into one truth.
“It is an absolute pleasure to have had the opportunity to share this song with an artist like Talib Kweli because besides of growing up listening to his music, he is one of the most consistent rappers I know and his lyrics carry a great message. This song is a vivid example that hip hop is above social contexts, languages, beliefs… this music represents the truth and values of the individual; it gives the people a voice to be heard loudly. As long as there is a cause here we will continue to hold the microphone,” shares El B.

El B is gearing up for the upcoming Latin Grammy Awards ceremony on November 17 in Vegas. He has a received a nomination as Best Urban Music Album for Luz, his sixth album as a solo artist, released in June 2016. This work includes stellar collaborations with established artists and creative producers such as Talib Kweli, MLKMN, Itawe, Javier ‘lakambra’ Delgado and Mark Kondrat of Locos por Juana as well as Grammy winner, sound engineer, Frank “El Médico.”

“Fue un placer tener la oportunidad de compartir esta canción con un artista como Talib Kweli. A parte de que crecí escuchando su música, él es uno de los raperos más consistentes que conozco y sus letras siempre llevan un gran mensaje. Esta canción es un vivo ejemplo de que el hip hop va más allá de contextos sociales, lenguajes, y conocimientos… esta música representa la verdad y los valores del individuo; le da a las personas una voz que se escucha fuerte. El B se prepara para la próxima Entrega Anual del Latin Grammy la cual se lleva a cabo el 17 de noviembre en Las Vegas. El B esta nominado en la categoría de Mejor Álbum Urbano por Luz, este es su sexto álbum como solista.
